Red Panda Art Studio offers a variety of art classes, clubs, and camps. Art classes begin for kids as young as 15 months through age 12. Drawing and craft clubs begin for kids ages 4 and up. Red Panda also offers school closure day camps as well as week-long summer camps.

Creative Outlets is a non-profit art center whose mission is to provide community opportunities for arts learning. Creative Outlets offers classes for babies through adults in a variety of mediums including ceramics, painting, and making. Summer camps, birthday parties, and space rentals are available.

The Little Gym is also a children's gym franchise built on the 3D learning model- movement, brain, and citizenship. The Gaithersburg location offers parent and child classes for infants and toddlers beginning at 4 months, and gymnastics classes for preschool and grade-schoolers. Parties, camps, and other special events are available for members and non-members.

Dominique Dawes Gymnastics and Ninja Academy
Location(s): Clarksburg and Rockville
The gym was founded by Olympic gymnast Dominique Dawes to focus on positive gymnastics development. Classes begin with parent/child co-ed classes for babies at 9 months to 3 years old and junior gymnastics classes are offered for 4 to 6 year olds. Girls gymnastics training continues at age 6. Ninja training is offered for kids ages 4-15. MCPS closure camps, summer camps, open gym, and monthly parent nights out are also offered.

Preston Gymnastics

Preston Gymnastics Academy offers recreational classes for ages 18 months to 18 years, competitive boys and girls artistic teams, competitive co-ed trampoline and tumbling teams, and adult gymnastics classes for ages 17 and up. The pre-school, school age, home school, and adult class program is organized into monthly classes in the fall, winter and spring, and summer session classes are offered on an 8-week basis. Preston is home to a competitive gymnastics team for boys ages 6 and up.

Hill's Gymnastics

Hill’s Gymnastics provides programs for tumbling and trampoline, girls and boys recreational gymnastics, women’s competitive Levels 1-10, as well as elite level gymnastics. Gymnastics classes begin with the tumble tots parent-assisted classes as soon as a child is walking and continue through teenage years. The school is also home to competitive teams. Summer camps winter and spring break camps, and kids day out camps are offered for ages 3-13. Hills hosts weekly open gym sessions and can also be rented for parties.

Silver Stars Gymnastics offers training in gymnastics, tumbling, trampoline, and Ninja. Preschool classes begin for children as young as 6 months. City Dance offers weekly classes in a range of dance types from September through June annually. Registration is ongoing throughout the year. Parent and Me baby movement classes are offered for children beginning at 18 months of age. The studio also hosts birthday parties.

Imagination Stage
Location(s): Bethesda
Imagination Stage offers a full range of inclusive theater opportunities for kids of all ages. Productions run year-round in both the Lerner Family Theater and the Reeve Studio Theater with performances for targeted age groups beginning at 1. Summer camps are offered in 1 to 4 week increments for kids ages 3.5 and up. A wide variety of classes are offered beginning at age 1.

Kids Ground

Kids Ground is a 5,000 sqft indoor play space designed for infants, toddlers, and young children. Kids Ground offers daily open play time, admission is $17 per child and one accompanying adult. Kids Ground also hosts birthday parties, Friday and Saturday parent-out drop off nights, and a weekly kids' club for 2.5 to 6 year olds. Toddler programs in yoga, Zumbini, and Spanish are scheduled to begin in early 2023.

The Little Towns Children's Museum

Little Towns is a child-size urban neighborhood that features 16 hands-on exhibits based on real spaces found in a community. Spaces are designed for babies, toddlers, and children. The Little Towns offers drop-in open play all day, though reservations are recommended. Admission for open play sessions is $25. Little Towns also hosts private play, birthday parties and MCPS school closure day camps.

Jolly Yolly Kids

Jolly Yolly Kids is an indoor play and learning center for kids aged 13 and under. Admission ranges from $13 to $19 depending on ages and days. The center has 8,500sqft dedicated to indoor play structures, tot lots for children ages 2 to 7, and a baby area for children under 2. Jolly Yolly also hosts private parties.

Lil' Ones Play Time Drop In
Location(s): Montgomery County Recreation Centers
Many of the Montgomery County Recreation Centers host play time weekly drop-in sessions in their gym spaces with their toys and equipment. These free play sessions are open to all kids ages 5 and under but do require parent supervision.

Meadowlark Music

Meadowlark Music offers baby and toddler music classes at parks, backyards, and venues in southern MoCo and Nothern DC. They also offer private lessons on Ukulele, Guitar, Piano and Voice for kids (ages 5 and up) and adults. Meadowlark can also be booked for birthday parties.

Baby In Tune

Baby In Tune is for babies 0-8 months old and their primary caregivers. Taught by a licensed music therapist, Baby In Tune classes are organized around a volunteer host's location and then filled with the instructor's help. Classes focus on building a parent support network, bonding, and songs.

WCM is a nonprofit community music school serving children, teens, and adults. Group classes, private lessons, and camps are all offered. Early childhood music classes begin at age 3 months and specialized instrument instruction begins at age 4.

Music Together with Sonia uses the internationally recognized Music Together childhood music program offering informal music and movement classes for children from birth to age five. Sonia also offers the Music with Babies class for newborns to 8 month olds. Classes run in 12 week sessions.

Bach to Rock is a franchise music school that specializes in group and individual lessons for kids, teens, and adults. Their Rock n Roll program offers weekly parent-and child music classes for ages 1-3. Music education group classes continue for the 3-5 and 5-7 age groups. Camps and parties are also an option. Two franchise locations in MoCo.

The International School of Music is a full-service music school that offers music education for babies as young as 6 months old through adults. Preschool music classes begin with caregiver and child classes for kids ages 1-3 and continue with music education classes through age 7. Private Suzuki Strings lessons begin at age 4. Private lessons begin at age 5. Summer music camps begin at age 4. ISM is also home to several bands and ensembles.

Levine is a large music school with campuses across the DMV. Two locations are in MoCo. They offer instruction in over 22 instruments and voice. Levine has an early childhood music program with several different class offerings including caregiver and child classes for ages 0-3. Summer camps are offered beginning at age 4. Levine also offers a music therapy program.

Rhythm 'N' Ruach with Auntie A
Location(s): Throughout MoCo
Rhythm 'N' Ruach is a national program that offers both Jewish and secular musical programming. They specialize in teaching Jewish music, instruments, and values in their weekly family music and movement class for kids from birth to age 6. Auntie A teaches the program locally throughout the DMV, and also offers kids yoga and birthday parties.

Ms. Ellie's Music offers shir a song classes for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers with their caregivers. Shir a song classes are music and movement classes that combine both Jewish and secular music. Classes are offered for mixed age groups ranging from infants to age five.

SoFive is a national indoor soccer provider with a location in Rockville. SoFive offers a variety of small-side soccer camps, classes, and leagues. SoFive is also home to the Lil'Kickers program for kids ages 18 months to 5 years of age.

Soccer Bugs
Location(s): Rockville
Soccer Bugs offers early introduction to soccer with a focus on fun and motor development. Soccer classes begin with parent-assisted practices at 18 months of age and continue for kids up to age 6. Soccer Bugs runs several locations throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, in MoCo their practices are held at the E&B Indoor Soccer complex with some additional outdoor class locations.

Kids First is an East Coast chain of swim schools with several outposts in Maryland. They own their own facilities featuring warm-water pools. Kids First offers 6-week long swimming classes beginning with Parent & Me instruction for infants and toddlers. Private instruction begins at age 2, and small group lessons and semi-private lessons are offered beginning at age 3. The pool can also be rented on weekends for parties.

Swim Labs is a national chain of swim schools offering high-tech training and a wide variety of small-group swim lessons in their own facilities. Infant swim classes begin as young as 6 months with ParentTot classes with their caregiver. Toddler transition classes begin at age 2 and parents remain on the pool deck. Private and semi-private lessons are also offered.

British Swim School of Central Maryland

British Swim Schools are a nationwide operator of swim lessons at local pools. The central Maryland branch offers classes in three MoCo locations. Courses begin at 3 months old with parent and child water acclimation classes and then beginning water safety. Advanced water safety classes with parents on deck begin at 18 months old and continue to age 3 and beyond. British Swim also offers classes for children with special needs.

SafeSplash Swim Schools are a nationwide operator of swim lessons at local pools with several locations in MoCo. Infant swim classes begin at 6 months with parent and tot classes. ToddlerTransition classes begin at 24-36 months with parents poolside. A variety of group, private, and semi-private lessons are offered for children. SafeSplash also offers adaptive aquatics lessons for children with special needs, as well as camps, clinics, and birthday parties.

Goldfish Swim School is a national chain of swim schools with several franchises in MoCo. They own their own facilities with warm-water pools. Goldfish offers parent and child swim classes beginning at 4 months and child-only swim classes beginning at age 2. They also host family swim events, clinics, and indoor pool parties for birthdays or events.

WeAquatics
Location(s): Bethesda, Silver Spring
WeAquatics instructs at 11 local pools in the DMV, with 2 locations in MoCo. WeAquatics offers one-on-one Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) classes, where babies as young as 6 months old are taught to roll back to float. They also offer one-on-one learn to swim lessons for ages 4 and up or ISR graduates. There is also a swim team to gently introduce competitive swimming to kids ages 4-14 who already know the four strokes.

Montgomery County Recreation

Montgomery County offers swim lessons year-round at their five indoor aquatics centers and seasonally at their seven outdoor pools. Parent and child swim lessons begin at 6 months of age and child-only swim lessons are offered for children ages 4 and up. Private lessons are also offered.

Morrisey Swim Academy
Location(s): Damascus and Potomac
Morrisey Swim Academy provides private water safety instruction and swim lessons for children and adults. Instruction is offered one-on-one and two-on-one for sibling pairs. Instruction begins for kids at 6 months of age. MSA also specializes in offering swimming instruction to neurodivergent, special needs, and aquaphobic swimmers, with about 80% of their lessons serving these students. Lessons are offered seasonally (May-Sept) at two different private pool locations.
