Cabin John Ice Rink

Location(s): Rockville 

Cabin John Ice Rink, one of two indoor skating facilities in Montgomery Parks, offers a wide range of ice skating and ice hockey classes and camps for all ages and skill levels, as well as special events and skating exhibitions throughout the year. The facility also offers rooms to rent, a pro shop, and cafe. Public skating hours are offered throughout the week on a schedule published seasonally.

Wheaton Ice Arena

Location(s): Wheaton

Wheaton Ice Arena is one of two indoor skating facilities in Montgomery Parks. The arena offers a wide range of ice skating and ice hockey classes and camps for all ages and skill levels, as well as special events and skating exhibitions throughout the year. The facility also offers rooms to rent, a pro shop, and workout center. Public skating hours are offered throughout the week on a schedule published seasonally.

Rockville Ice Arena

Location(s): Rockville

Rockville Ice Arena houses three full-size rinks, each available for figure skating, hockey, and community skating activities. The arena is home to several different hockey and figure skating programs. They offer a wide range of lessons and large number of group lessons for adults and kids beginning at age 3. The arena also offers public skating on a regular weekly schedule.

Rockville Outdoor Ice Skating

Location(s): Rockville

Rockville Outdoor Ice Skating is open from October through March for skating on the outdoor rink at Rockville Town Square. Reservations are recommended and can only be made online. Private and group lessons are also offered.

Silver Spring Outdoor Ice Skating

Location(s): Silver Spring

Silver Spring Outdoor Ice Skating is open from October through March for skating on the outdoor rink at Veteran's Plaza. Skates can be rented onsite for toddler to adult sizes. Reservations are required and can only be made online. Private and group lessons are also offered.

Wheaton Ice Skating Academy

Location(s): Wheaton

WISA was founded in 2003 by Russian gold medal champions Alexei Kiliakov and Elena Novak to train competitive ice dancers. Academy skaters as young as 6 have competed regionally and nationally, and skaters as young as 13 have competed internationally. WISA offers on and off ice training as well as private coaching for competitive skaters.

First Line Training Center

Location(s): Rockville

First Line Training Center is Mid-Atlantic's first and only, premier, fully synthetic ice hockey training and development facility. FLTC offers year-round training, coaching, lessons, skill development, 3v3 and 2v2 training tournaments, shooting and stick-handling challenges and a variety of hockey camps. FLTC serves beginner through advanced ice hockey players. Individual and family memberships are available.
