Art Works specializes in classes in drawing and painting from age 6 until adulthood. Camps are also offered year round with before and after school options. Additionally, Artworks hosts parties.

Young Masters Art Studio

Location(s): Kensington

Young Masters specializes in drawing and painting classes for children from ages 4-16. Classes run in seasonal sessions for ten weeks.

Visarts

Location(s): Rockville

Visarts is a community non-profit specializing in a wide range of visual arts from drawing to ceramics. Children's classes begin at age two. Summer camps, school closure day camps, and parties are all offered.

Stone Branch School of Art

Location(s): Rockville

Stonebranch offers a range of design, drawing, and painting classes. Long term classes, short term classes and workshops are available. Stonebranch holds classes for children starting at the age of 5.

The Amazing Art Studio

Location(s): Gaithersburg

 

The Amazing Art Studio offers paint-it-yourself pottery, mosaic making, and painting for all ages at their walk-ins welcome studio. They also offer summer camps and day camps during MCPS breaks for ages 6-16.

Happy Little Art Studio

Location(s): Silver Spring

 

The Happy Little Art Studio offers weekend and after-school art classes for children as young as age 2. Classes focus on creative thinking and provide different projects each session.

Create Arts Center

Location(s): Silver Spring

Create Arts Studio offers a range of semester long classes including painting, drawing, and ceramics, for children beginning at age 5. Individual and group art therapy sessions are also available. Additional offerings include summer camps, school closure camps, and parties.

Young at Art

Location(s): Kensington

Young at Art is housed in the "clubhouse", a backyard art studio where arts classes and week-long summer camps are offered for children ages 6-12. Weekly classes run for the season. Personalized art parties are also offered.

The Loft Collective

Location(s): Takoma Park 

 

The Loft Collective offers small batch art exploration classes for children beginning at age 2. Classes run in six week sessions. School closure and summer camps are also offered. After-care is also available for students at Takoma Park and Piney Branch Elementary Schools.

Artichoke Art Studio

Location(s): Gaithersburg

Artichoke Art Studio offers fine arts classes in eleven week trimesters in the fall, winter, and spring. Ceramics are also offered. Artichoke studio holds a week-long arts sleepaway camp for girls every summer.

Shineh Art Studio

Location(s): Gaithersburg

Shineh Art studio offers year-round, weekly fine arts classes in mixed mediums for children beginning at kindergarten and continuing through high-school. Classes operate on a two-semester schedule.

The Arts Barn

Location(s): Gaithersburg

The Arts Barn is a renovated stable that now houses many of the city of Gaithersburg's arts events. The Arts Barn offers an active schedule of visual and performing arts classes, workshops, and camps for children and adults.

Creative Outlets

Location(s): Bethesda

Creative Outlets is a non-profit art center whose mission is to provide community opportunities for arts learning. Creative Outlets offers classes for babies through adults in a variety of mediums including ceramics, painting, and making. Summer camps, birthday parties, and space rentals are available.

Red Panda Art Studio

Location(s): Chevy Chase

Red Panda Art Studio offers a variety of art classes, clubs, and camps. Art classes begin for kids as young as 15 months through age 12. Drawing and craft clubs begin for kids ages 4 and up. Red Panda also offers school closure day camps as well as week-long summer camps.

We Art Fun! 

Location(s): Germantown

We Art Fun offers paint-it-yourself pottery, mosaic making, clay, and canvas painting for all ages at their walk-ins welcome studio. Table reservations are available as well. They also offer week-long summer camps and MCPS closure camps for kids ages 7-12, host parties, and rent the space for events.

Hammer & Stain

Location(s): Rockville

Hammer & Stain is a DIY studio that is open by appointment for makers, and also offers open hours with projects to choose from, as well as workshops in a variety of mediums for adults and children. The studio can also be rented for groups and parties. Pre-planned birthday parties are also available. Hammer & Stain hosts summer camps for kids ages 8-15.
